June

So I am a bit behind!
Here we are back in June and the big events for June are as follows: My Dad came to have cyberknife radiation treatments for 1 week to stop the remaining piece of his pituitary tumor from growing again and possibly to shrink it. His progress will continue to be followed over the next couple of years in order to fully know the outcomes from the radiation. Praise God that my Dad was able to recieve such great care this year and to follow from the Barrows at St. Joes. God's hand was shown in many ways throughout this process. The kids, of course, always enjoy when my Dad comes to visit as they have his sole attention and Wyatt gets to do some wrestling now that "Papa's tumor is gone."

The next major event was that Wyatt recieved a black eye at summer camp from his friend kicking him in the eye with his tennis shoe. His eye was swollen and bruised for 1 good week and a couple of days after the initial injury my dad and him were wrestling and my dad managed to bang Wyatt's bad eye again causing another lump! The day after Wyatt was kicked in the R. eye, Jane's right eye all of a sudden was swollen and red for whatever reason we still do not know! However, my kids looked like the battered children with matching right eyes! Also while my dad was here, we hiked up the back side of South Mountain and barely was able to see the remaining cacti blooms, which my dad is fascinated with seeing when he is here in the spring/early summer. Jane loves to play outside with her babies and Wyatt continues to enjoy to wrestle with whoever will play and in this case, he and Lady were taking break!

May trip to Boise

We had a wonderful time in Boise and as always, I never want to come back home to Phoenix. We enjoyed time with everbody there and spent some nights at my parents and some nights and Bryan's parents. The kids enjoyed helping make pancakes at Grandma Lew's and playing in the 15yards of dirt that Papa Lew had for yard work. We also enjoyed shopping dinners and games with Tyler, Whitney, Nate, Melisa and Marriah. I enjoyed shopping with my mom and sisters as well and the dinners that we had with my family. Jane got her nails painted for the first time by Grandma Lew! Wyatt had fun with papa Lew shooting ground squirrels but learned not to put the scope next to the eye as it causing bruising! Wyatt enjoyed helping papa Burt clean out his gutters and helped open up their pool for the summer. Wyatt held Freako the frog for the first time and was sad to have to let him go; Jane would not hold him though! We also enjoyed time with Leah, Amelia and Charlotte. Jane learned to love PB&J sandwiches the way that aunt Carrie makes them. The kids always love to play with Bell and feed bubba the fish at my parent's house. Baby Andrea was not so fond of us but she began to warm up even though we got the "business lip!" We can't wait to go back in July for a camping trip and to have another visit with everybody that we miss and love so much!

Easter 2010

Happy Easter 2010! We had an awesome Easter with awesome guests! I took the day off from work to spend with the family and to celebrate the existence of my faith that Jesus rose from the dead, Amen! Our church celebrated with an outdoor service and it was the most peaceful Easter service that I have attended. Deep down in my heart, I experienced God's peace and an immense joy that I am a sinner saved by His grace. After church we came home and prepared our dinner which was lamb, lobster, ham, deviled eggs, salad, rolls, asparagus, green beans, potatoes and appetizers. Barbara gave us a special treat, chocolate covered strawberries and boy were they good! We had our Easter with Mike and Barbara, Great Grandma Wininger, Rodi, Sarah, Leah, Kevin and Jeanne. The kids enjoyed their Easter baskets and finding the hidden eggs. It was so fun to watch them. The kids looked so grown up in their Easter outfits. Our meal was also to die for, in my opinion anyway! We felt so blessed to be able to share this special day with all of you that came and we are so glad that the kids get to enjoy their Great Grandma Wininger. The kids loved their easter treats that they recieved from everybody!! We Love you all!
